Our school is situated in the Heritage town of Lismore, Co. Waterford. We are tucked under the spire of St. Carthage’s Cathedral, where learning and scholarship flourished over one thousand years ago.
Can you spot our location on this old map?
We are a primary school managed by a locally elected board of Management under the patronage of the the Churchof Ireland Bishop of Cashel and Ossory.

PUPILS The boys and girls come to our school from the locality, stretching from Cappoquin in the East to Conna in the West.
STAFF. We are seven in all on the staff: two classroom teachers, two teachers on our learning support team, two Special Needs Assistants and a secretary.
OUR ENVIRONMENT. Lismore is an environment rich in history and natural diversity. We use it as our outdoor classroom. We have fun and games on swings, slide and a climbing frame in our school garden designed by a parent. We use our playground and the playing fields in Lismore for sports.
Liosmór Mochuda N.S. is a a GREEN SCHOOL. We have earned four green flags.
We are lucky to have an active and ambitious Parent Teacher Association. The PTA enhances the work of the school by organising after school activities for the children, fund raising events and social activities for the parents. They even cook hot dogs for the children every month!
